1. Political communication and peripheries

This research focuses on how political communication addresses and influences periphery populations, whether geographical or demographic. It explores framing strategies (textual and visual), the role of media (news media, online media, or social media), the role of misinformation and disinformation, and the broader effects of such communication on engagement, incivility, emotions, or societal divisions.
2. Transformations of journalistic practices
Supervisor: Lenka Waschková Císařová
This research examines the evolving nature of journalism, including shifts in journalistic practices, journalists' professional roles, and the emotional dimensions of journalistic work. It focuses particularly on peripheral actors in the journalistic field or various kinds of interlopers or intralopers.

Requirements
- A master’s degree (or equivalent) in political communication, media studies, journalism studies, political science, or a related field
- A demonstrated interest in the research topics
- An interest in advancing analytical and methodological skills (qualitative and/or quantitative)
- Excellent written and spoken English
