The Department of Journalism at FSS MU invites BA and MA students to apply for a unique international autumn school focused on resilience in journalism. The school will be held in Brno and will bring together 25 students from five European countries – the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, and Romania.

Theme: Resilience in Journalism: Overcoming the Challenges from the Past to the Digital Age
Dates: October 20–26, 2025
Location: Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, Brno

The Department of Journalism at FSS MU invites BA and MA students to apply for a unique international autumn school focused on resilience in journalism. The school will be held in Brno and will bring together 25 students from five European countries – the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, and Romania. We are selecting 5 students from our department to participate.

This autumn school is part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program, which includes:

  • a preparatory online meeting,
  • a pre-course assignment,
  • an in-person program in Brno,
  • a final assignment,
  • and a concluding online session.

Upon successful completion, participants will earn 3 credits for a course taught in English.

What can you expect?

  • Engaging lectures and practical workshops on journalistic resilience,
  • Collaboration with professional journalists, researchers, and experts from across Europe,
  • A chance to build international connections and gain cross-border experience,
  • A deeper understanding of how to navigate uncertainty and change in the media environment.

  • a CV highlighting your journalism-related experience (internships, practical courses, editorial work, etc.),
  • a motivation letter explaining your interest in the autumn school and what you hope to gain from the experience.
