International cooperation – study and training visits
The Department of Media Studies and Journalism has long been part of a wide international network of cooperation, thanks to opportunities offered by grants awarded by Czech ministries, the European Union, the Fulbright Commission (US), and partner universities.
The Erasmus+ programme allows lecturers to participate in study visits abroad at a number of international universities, such as the University of Sussex (UK), Karlstad University (Sweden), and the University of Valladolid (Spain).
There are also academic mobility opportunities involving partner countries outside the EU (including Israel, Egypt, Russia, and China). Our lecturers also offer lessons aimed at special target groups, such as international employees of foreign companies active in the Czech market.
Employees of the department participate in training visits as well, for example at the University of Berlin (Germany) or Newman University (UK).
Moreover, stronger cooperation with Penn State University (US) is expected in the near future, with study and teaching exchange programmes to start in 2017.
Information regarding various opportunities for academic mobility is available at the website of the Centre for International Cooperation.
